On January 16 this year, Hyundai launched the updated Creta, which now comes with a variety of new features, including Level 2 ADAS. The current ex-showroom price of the car ranges from Rs 11 lakh to Rs 20 lakh. In the Indian market, the SUV rivals the likes of the Skoda Kushaq, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Volkswagen Taigun, MG Astor, Honda Elevate, and the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder. Mechanically, a wide range of powertrain options are available for the new Creta – a 1.5-litre MPi petrol engine, which produces 113bhp and 144Nm and is mated to either a six-speed manual transmission or an IVT automatic transmission, a 1.5-litre Kappa Turbo GDi petrol mill, which develops 158bhp and 253Nm and is exclusively available with a seven-speed DCT automated transmission, and a 1.5-litre CRDi diesel engine, which can produce 114bhp and 250Nm and can be had with either a six-speed manual or an AT transmission.
