The Hyundai Ioniq 5 made its formal entry into the Indian luxury electric vehicle market in January last year. It is the brand's second electric car, followed by the Kona Electric, and competes against the Kia EV6. In a recent development, Hyundai upped the Ioniq 5's price in India by Rs 10,000. As a result, the ex-showroom price for the EV is now Rs 46.05 lakh. Although the exact reason hasn't been disclosed, issues with the supply chain or increasing input costs could be the primary reasons. There is only one fully loaded version of the Ioniq 5 on the market, which can accommodate up to five people. Many amenities are included in the SUV, such as a wireless phone charger, a panoramic sunroof, heated front seats, dual-zone climate control, and more. Hyundai's electric vehicle is built on the Electric-Global Modular Platform, which claims to offer superior cornering performance, improved driving dynamics, and better high-speed stability. If you want to buy an Ioniq 5 EV in the future, let's explore its dimensions, powertrain, and other aspects in greater depth.

Hyundai Ioniq 5: Powertrain

The Hyundai Ioniq 5 has a single rear-wheel-drive electric motor coupled to a 72.6 kWh battery underneath its bonnet. In this configuration, the e-car by Hyundai produces 216bhp, and 350Nm of performance numbers, respectively. The South Korean manufacturer claims that the model can travel 631 kilometres on a single charge. Furthermore, a 350kW DC fast charger can charge the EV from 10% to 80% in just 18 minutes. In addition, the Ioniq 5 includes Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) technology, which enables it to generate up to 3.6kW of power.

Hyundai Ioniq 5: Exterior and Interior

The streamlined clamshell hood, exquisite parametric pixel LED headlights, and the electric SUV's simple lines and curves draw attention to its appearance. Sideways, the car exhibits Z-shaped character lines, flat door handles, and 20-inch alloy wheels with a parametric pixel design for improved aerodynamics. The rear spoiler, which has an LED high-mount stop lamp, gives the car a sportier appearance, while the LED taillamps at the back maintain the parametric pixel design. Regarding exterior colours, purchasers can select from three options on offer—Midnight Black Pearl, Optic White, and Gravity Gold Matte.
