Jeep has taken the wraps off the Recon electric SUV, which will launch first in the U.S. and Canada before rolling out to other international markets in Q4. The EV also debuts a rugged new Moab trim (exclusive to the North American market) that distinguishes itself with several notable upgrades. Built on a dedicated electric architecture, the Recon advances Jeep’s 4xe ethos with all-electric four-wheel drive and the adaptive Selec-Terrain system. It has a 0–100km/h acceleration time of 3.6 seconds and an estimated range of up to 402 kilometres, depending on the trim. Here's a detailed look at Jeep's new electric SUV.
The new Recon looks promising with trademark muscular proportions and a contemporary EV flair. The front profile has an upright stance, with elements like illuminated seven-slot grille rings, U-shaped DRLs, and premium LED lighting. Other highlights include a dual-pane sunroof or Sky One-Touch Power Top, tool-free removable doors and glass (unique in the EV segment), gloss Black accents, Wrangler-inspired taillamps, and a rear swing gate with a full-size spare.

Prominent details include a modular dash with a passenger grab handle, a two-tier center console with wireless charging and pass-through storage, and adaptable door and cargo organisation, offering up to 65.9 cu. ft. (1,866 litres) of rear cargo space. The Moab trim adds a Joshua Tree tan colour palette inspired by nature, while recycled materials throughout the cabin reflect an eco-conscious design. A premium Alpine audio system delivers exceptional sound even with the doors removed. Other highlights include a 14.5-inch touchscreen, a 12.3-inch digital driver display, and a passenger-side grab handle.
The Jeep Recon is powered by dual 250 kW (670 bhp) electric drive modules on the front and rear axles, producing 840Nm of peak torque. A 100kWh battery pack feeds the system, supporting both off-road capability and on-road efficiency.
