Kia India has finally announced the prices for the Carens Clavis. The price of the MPV starts at Rs 11.50 lakh and goes up to Rs 21.50 lakh. Both mentioned prices are ex-showroom figures. Kia began accepting bookings for the Carens Clavis on May 9, just one day following its debut, with an advance payment of Rs 25,000. Positioned as a more upscale variant, the Clavis will be available alongside the regular Carens. The Clavis will be offered in eight monotone exterior paint options: Aurora Black Pearl, Glacier White Pearl, Sparkling Silver, Imperial Blue, Ivory Silver Gloss, Clear White, Pewter Olive, and Gravity Gray, giving buyers a wide range of shades to suit different tastes.
The Kia Carens Clavis arrives with a distinct visual identity, setting itself apart through its uniquely styled lighting and rugged details. At the front, it sports a set of triple-segment LED headlamps housed in sharply sculpted triangular casings. Complementing these are inverted V-shaped LED daytime running lights, which break away from the current industry norm by not being connected by a central light strip. Instead of a functional grille, the front fascia features a sealed panel, while the bumper is dressed in robust black cladding and finished with a silver-colored faux skid plate, emphasising a tough, off-road-inspired aesthetic.

The rear of the Clavis features one of its most notable upgrades – a connected LED taillight bar, a feature that the original Carens lacks. This is paired with a rear bumper that mirrors the front in both materials and styling, with matte cladding and a silver faux skid plate enhancing the symmetry.
The Carens Clavis is offered with three engine options to suit varied preferences. The base model features a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated (NA) petrol engine delivering 113bhp and 144Nm, paired exclusively with a six-speed manual transmission. There is also a more potent 1.5-litre turbocharged GDi petrol unit producing 158bhp and 253Nm, which can be matched with either a six-speed manual, a six-speed intelligent manual transmission (iMT), or a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic (DCT). Diesel enthusiasts can opt for a 1.5-litre turbo diesel engine making 113bhp and 250Nm, available with a six-speed manual or a six-speed torque converter automatic gearbox.
Designed with Indian families in mind, the Clavis offers spacious third-row seating and debuts a new two-spoke steering wheel, similar to the one featured in the Kia Syros.
Its interior is equipped with a dual-screen arrangement, ventilated front seats, sliding and reclining second-row seats, a panoramic dual-pane sunroof, a dual-view dashcam, and a convenient infotainment and climate control toggle switch.
On the safety front, the Clavis comes loaded with features including six airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), disc brakes on all wheels, front and rear parking sensors, a 360-degree camera system, and an electronic parking brake with auto hold. The vehicle is also equipped with a Level-2 advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) package, incorporating adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, and other semi-autonomous driving aids.
