Kia Carens X-Line Variant Launched at Rs 18.94 Lakh; Gets Design and Feature Updates

Kia has launched a new Carens X-Line variant with a starting price tag of Rs 18.94 lakh (ex-showroom) in India. The new X-Line version of the Carens is accessible in two variants: Petrol DCT and Diesel 6-speed automatic.

The Carens X-Line, a new variant in the SUV's lineup from Kia, is now available in the country for a starting price of Rs 18.94 lakh (ex-showroom). According to Kia, the X-Line range made its debut first on the Seltos and then on the Sonet. The all-new Kia Carens X-Line is a top-of-the-line model that has received a number of stylistic improvements over the basic version, both inside and out. It is available in two variants —Petrol DCT and Diesel 6-speed automatic and costs Rs 18.94 lakh and Rs 19.44 lakh, respectively. Both are ex-showroom figures. With seven-speed DCT and six-speed automatic transmissions, the new Kia Carens X-Line model offers a choice between gasoline and diesel powertrains. Kia Carens X-Line: Exterior

Kia has changed the exterior of the new variant in several ways to set it apart from the regular version. These include the unique Matte Graphite paintwork, silver callipers, a shiny black grille, front and rear bumper embellishments, a chrome grille garnish, an X-Line insignia on the tailgate, a black coated rear skid plate, and more. Further, the new variant of the SUV rolls on 16-inch alloy wheels with a dual-tone design.

Splendid Sage Green and Two-Tone Black are the interior theme choices for the Kia Carens X-Line variant's cabin. The left-hand rear passenger seat comes fitted with Back Seat Entertainment (RSE) which offers access to amenities like screen mirroring, podcasts, and other entertainment apps. According to the automaker, a smartphone app may be used to control this system. It is important to note that this top-spec version is only available in a six-seater configuration.  

Kia Carens X-Line: Engine

The Carens X-Line is offered in two engine options: a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol and 1.5-litre diesel. The turbo-petrol version produces 158bhp and 253Nm paired to a seven-speed DCT gearbox, while the diesel engine generates 113bhp and 250Nm with a six-speed transmission.

As mentioned, the Kia Carens X-Line is priced at Rs 18.94 lakh for the Petrol DCT version and Rs 19.44 lakh for the Diesel 6AT variant. Both are ex-showroom figures.
