Kia Motors India will launch the Carnival MPV in three trims: Premium, Prestige & Limousine. Post its launch, the Carnival will become the most powerful MPV in the country!

We recently reported that the Kia Carnival will be launched in India at the upcoming Auto Expo 2020. However, to keep the excitement levels high, Kia Motors India (KMI) has revealed the features & variant details of the Carnival as a build-up to its launch. The Carnival will go on sale in three variants: Premium (available as a 7- or 8-seater), Prestige (available as a 7- or a 9-seater)  & Limousine (available exclusively as a 7-seater). Of the three seating configurations, the 7-seater option will be up for grabs with either standard captain seats (individual seats) or 'Luxury VIP' seats (individual seats with extending leg rests) in the middle row. The 9-seater option will feature a four-row layout.

As mentioned above, the Carnival will become the most powerful MPV in the country at the time of its launch That's because it'll be powered by a BS-VI compliant 2.2-litre CRDi VGT diesel engine that's been tuned to belt out 197bhp & 440Nm of torque. Those figures are significantly higher than those of the Innova Crysta and even the Mercedes-Benz V-Class. The 2.2-litre unit will be paired to an 8-Speed Sportsmatic transmission.
