The Carens sold 62,756 units this year, making it India's second most popular family vehicle. The Carnival and the EV6 both saw increases of 3,550 units and 430 units, respectively. The year 2022 had several key achievements for the firm, including the launch of its flagship EV model, the EV6, in India, which marked the onset of the automaker's EV journey in India. Moreover, Kia has completed three years of operations in the country. During the last year, Kia also topped FADA's Dealer Satisfaction Study, claiming the title for the third year in a row.

Further, the company invested in the country's fast-charging EV infrastructure by establishing India's first and fastest '240kWh' charger. Kia India also launched its certified pre-owned (CPO) business, which would have 30 or more locations by the end of 2022 to address the growing need for personal mobility in the nation.

Despite various headwinds like geopolitical issues, COVID-induced supply chain obstructions and price increase, we managed to register the highest sales ever for the brand in the country. It is a matter of great pride that Kia products are not only disrupting their respective segments in India but also creating waves and ever-growing demand in the international markets."
