The redesigned Kia Seltos will officially launch in India shortly. Currently, it is undergoing testing on our shores, and spy shots of the same have emerged online. According to recent spy images, the test mule sported a panoramic sunroof, a feature that is unavailable in the existing Seltos. The Seltos SUV has been the same since its introduction. Now, the carmaker is giving generational change to the model for our market. The updated SUV is already on sale in the U.S. It will likely enter India sometime around July 2023. For those unaware, the Seltos has a single-pane sunroof. However, with the addition of a panoramic sunroof, the vehicle's appearance and feel will likely be upscaled. According to industry reports, the 2023 model is expected to arrive in our market with a range of improvements in the features. It could get heated front seats, a fully digital driver’s display, ADAS, and more. Let's have a closer look at the expected updates in the upcoming mid-size SUV.

Kia Seltos Facelift: Design
In terms of design, the mid-size SUV will get a new front grille with integrated LED DRLs. Additionally, it will have a revamped faux skid plate, LED projector headlamps, and a bumper. There will also be new connected LED tail lights at the back. In the existing Seltos SUV, the tail lamps are connected via a chrome strip.
On the inside, the mid-size SUV will likely feature a twin display setup. There will be two 10.25-inch screens, one for the infotainment unit and the other for the instrument cluster. Other highlighted features of the SUV could be a powered tailgate, wireless charger, heated and ventilated front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, and more.
In terms of safety, the 2023 Seltos SUV will likely come equipped with an ADAS. Vehicle stability management, hill-assist control, six airbags as standard, parking sensors, and more are other expected safety features of the SUV.
Kia Seltos Facelift: Powertrain
Under the hood, the 2023 Kia Seltos will likely lift the powertrain options available on the existing model - 1.5-litre petrol and diesel engines. Another unit on offer could be a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol. The 1.5-litre petrol engine is capable of producing 113bhp and 144Nm, whereas the turbo-diesel engine is capable of generating 114bhp and 250Nm. The 1.5-liter new turbo-petrol engine, on the other hand, is expected to deliver 158bhp and 253Nm. For transmission, available engines will likely use iMT (clutchless manual) and automatic gearboxes.

Kia Seltos Facelift: Price & Rivals
The 2023 Kia Seltos is expected to be slightly more expensive than the current version, which has a starting price of Rs 10.89 lakh (ex-showroom) in India. After the reported launch in our market later this year, the Seltos SUV will compete with the Skoda Kushaq, the MG Astor, the Hyundai Creta, and more.
