Kia Seltos Facelift Teased Ahead of July 4 India Launch; Shows Updated Exterior & Interior
Kia India has teased the upcoming revamped Seltos ahead of launch in the country. The updated model with a range of improvements, including the revised grille, integrated dual digital display, and more is anticipated to command a huge premium over the current model.

Kia is all set to launch the facelift version of the Seltos on July 4 for the Indian market. Before the SUV hits Indian streets, the carmaker has released its official teasers, which offer a glimpse of revamped exterior and interior. At the front, brand-new LED DRLs is shown in the teaser, blending into the slightly modified grille. Aside from this, the official trailer also shows a brand-new LED tail light design. Inside, the SUV will have a renewed integrated dual digital display setup, which includes the infotainment screen and a new fully digital colour TFT instrument cluster. There is no official word from Kia, but industry speculations indicate that the upcoming compact SUV could boast ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) safety features. In India, the Seltos SUV made its entry years ago in 2019. Now, it's finally getting a mid-life update for our market. 2023 Kia Seltos: A Glance on Official Teaser
Prior to the formal debut of the 2023 Seltos in India, Kia released its teaser on its social media handles. The official teaser offers a preview of the many upgrades the SUV will come with. As seen in the teaser video, the mid-size has a new grille that resembles the model with an international-spec version. The LED lighting system and the bumper's skid plate are brand-new advancements. Further, the new Seltos has redesigned taillights and a revamped tailgate at the rear. Besides this, the SUV's silhouette hasn't significantly changed, save for its all-new alloy wheels.
Inside, the upcoming Seltos features improvements, especially in the central console's design and the dashboard. According to the teaser, the next-generation Kia Seltos will feature a sizable dual-screen arrangement that will serve as both the driver display and the 10.25-inch infotainment panel. The official also shows a dual-pane panoramic sunroof. For starters, the current Seltos has a single-pane unit. With the addition of a panoramic sunroof, the redesigned Seltos will match up to its rivals - the Creta and more, which offer a large panoramic sunroof.
2023 Kia Seltos: Engine
Under the bonnet, the new Seltos will likely continue with the 1.5-litre four-cylinder MPI gasoline and 1.5-litre four-cylinder CRDE diesel engines. There is no official update, however, industry reports claim that the 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol engine could be replaced by a brand-new, more potent 1.5-litre turbo mill, which already exists in the new Verna and the Alcazar models. It will probably be connected to either a seven-speed DCT or a six-speed iMT.

2023 Kia Seltos: Expected Price
In terms of price, the forthcoming Seltos SUV is projected to fall between Rs 11 lakh and Rs 21 lakh (Both prices, ex-showroom). Over the present model, which costs between Rs 10.89 lakh and Rs 19.65 lakh (ex-showroom), the updated SUV is expected to command a huge premium.
