Mahindra XUV 3XO Launched in India at Rs 7.49 Lakh; Gets Level 2 ADAS, Panoramic Sunroof and More

Mahindra has finally launched its much-awaited brand-new offering, the XUV 3XO in India. Over the past few months, the domestic automaker's latest compact SUV has attracted much attention. Essentially an updated version of the XUV300, the SUV carries a starting price tag of Rs 7.49 lakh (ex-showroom). With Luxury Pack and Pro variants, the model will be available in the MX1, MX2, MX3, MX2 Pro, MX3 Pro, AX5, AX5L, AX7, and AX7L trim levels. The compact SUV segment is one of the most fiercely contested in the Indian passenger vehicle industry. With the new XUV 3XO, Mahindra hopes to capture a larger share of this market. The deliveries are set to commence from May 26.

Mahindra XUV 3XO: Styling Elements

As evident from previous teasers, the Mahindra XUV 3XO has an entirely new design language that appears to have been influenced by the brand's BE line of cars. This is evident in the form of an updated front fascia, which sports a redesigned grille with glossy black accents. The addition of new housing for the DRLs and LED projector headlamps complements it. On the other hand, the SUV's side profile is similar to that of the XUV300, but it looks sportier thanks to the inclusion of new 17-inch alloy wheels. The car's rear end has been enhanced with LED taillights and an LED light bar that spans the vehicle's width.

Mahindra XUV 3XO: Interior and Features

The interior of the all-new Mahindra XUV 3XO features major improvements as well. Compared to the XUV300, its revamped layout and amenities make it look more luxurious and upmarket. It comes with a sizable panoramic sunroof called Skyroof, which is advertised as the largest in the segment. The SUV also receives a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with an AdrenoX operating system, first seen in the Mahindra XUV700. Other features include a fully digital instrument cluster, automatic climate control, a 360-degree surround-view camera, front and rear parking sensors, a revised centre console, traction control, electronic stability control (ESC), a 7-speaker Harman Kardon system, six airbags, a new steering wheel, and Level 2 ADAS suite. 

Mahindra XUV 3XO: Powertrain Options

Three engine options will be available for the XUV 3XO: a 1.5-litre turbodiesel with 115bhp and 300Nm, a 1.2-litre mStallion TCMPFi engine with 109bhp and 200Nm, and a 1.2-litre mStallion – TGDi engine with 129bhp and 230Nm. The engine comes mated to a six-speed automatic gearbox or a six-speed manual gearbox option for each variant.

Based on a recent teaser, the model boasts a fuel efficiency of up to 20.1km/l along with a 0 to 60km/h sprint time of 4.5 seconds. Additionally, the SUV has three unique drive modes: Zoom, Zap, and Zip, specifically in the petrol automatic models.

Mahindra XUV 3XO: Market Competitors

The Mahindra XUV 3XO is a new entrant in the ever-growing Indian auto industry, where all the manufacturers are vying for the largest share. They are represented in the segment by the best of their models to achieve this. In the domestic market, the XUV 3X0 will go up against the Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Nissan Magnite, Tata Nexon, Kia Sonet, Renault Kiger, and Hyundai Venue.
