The all-electric version of the Mahindra XUV300 is finally here! The XUV400 is capable of hitting 150km/h, with a 0 – 100km/h time of 8.3 seconds.

The all-electric Mahindra XUV400, first shown as the eXUV300 at the 2020 Auto Expo, is finally here. Well, it's been officially revealed today, along with all the information. Test drives for the XUV400 will begin in December 2022 in 16 cities (Mumbai, Hyderabad, Delhi NCR, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Chennai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Goa, Jaipur, Surat, Nagpur, Trivandrum, Nashik, Chandigarh, and Kochi), and its launch will take place in January 2023. Deliveries are expected to begin by the end of the same month. The XUV400 will be available in five colour options: Everest White, Arctic Blue, Galaxy Grey, Napoli Black, and Infinity Blue (with a dual-tone roof option in Satin Copper finish).

Powering the XUV400 is a 39.4kWh Li-ion battery pack, which sends energy to a single motor. The motor drives the front wheels only. The system output is pegged at 147.5bhp and 310Nm of torque. Thanks to these figures, the XUV400 is capable of hitting a top speed of 150km/h and has a 0 – 100km/h time of just 8.3 seconds. The EV offers an ARAI/MIDC-certified driving range of 456km on a single full charge.

The EV-specific visual changes, along with the Satin Copper elements, give the XUV400 bespoke styling.

The car takes only 50 minutes to complete 80% charging via a 50kW DC fast charger. Using a 7.2 kW/32A outlet, the 0 – 100% charge time is pegged at 6 hours 30 minutes, and the same can be achieved in 13 hours using a standard 3.3 kW/16A domestic wall socket.

In terms of features, the XUV400 offers three drive modes (Fun, Fast, and Fearless), which alter the steering, throttle, and regenerative energy response, a single-pedal ‘Lively mode’, which allows easy driving in dense traffic, an electric sunroof, a seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system, up to six airbags, disc brakes on all four wheels, a rear-view camera, and BlueSense Plus mobile app compatibility, which enables 60+ connectivity features, such as Over-The-Air (OTA) updates.
