The updated XUV700 is likely to go by the name XUV 7XO in India. It is also expected to come with a revised front fascia and several notable features.

A test mule suspected to be the upcoming facelift of the Mahindra XUV700 has been seen undergoing road testing in India. The spy shots reveal several mid-cycle updates, despite the vehicle being heavily camouflaged. The headlamp housings appear redesigned, and the grille now features additional slats. The front and rear bumpers also seem to have been reworked, while the DRLs look new, all hinting toward a refreshed front fascia. The side profile remains largely unchanged, but the rear may feature revised taillight internals along with a new bumper design. Though Mahindra hasn’t revealed anything yet, the test mule sightings suggest that the revised XUV700 is likely to go on sale this year — possibly by the end.
Since this is expected to be a cosmetic update, Mahindra is unlikely to alter the powertrain of the XUV700. The facelifted model is set to retain the same engine options: a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine that churns out 197bhp and 380Nm, and a 2.2-litre turbo diesel unit that produces up to 182bhp and 450Nm.

Transmission options include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic.
While Mahindra has yet to officially confirm any new features for the upcoming XUV700 facelift, industry reports hint at several potential upgrades. These may include an enhanced Harman audio system with Dolby support, front and rear ventilated seats, and an auto-dimming interior rear-view mirror (IRVM). Another highlight could be a new triple-screen dashboard layout, similar to what we’ve seen on the XUV.e9 concept.
Currently, top-spec variants of the XUV700 already offer a good tech package, comprising a panoramic sunroof, a 360-degree camera, and wireless charging. They also feature dual 10.25-inch displays (one for infotainment and the other for the digital instrument cluster) along with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, push-button start, a six-way powered driver’s seat with memory, and dual-zone climate control.

In terms of safety, the XUV700 will continue to come equipped with seven airbags, Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), electronic stability control (ESC), and an electronic parking brake.
