The Maruti Suzuki Brezza, currently in its second generation, has been spotted testing for the first time. Although the test vehicle is heavily camouflaged, it hints at some notable cosmetic updates for the popular sub-4m SUV. These include new four-spoke blacked-out alloy wheels and slightly tweaked taillamps (linked by a segmented light strip). The front end remains largely hidden, but mild styling tweaks are expected there as well. The SUV’s overall dimensions appear unchanged, suggesting no alterations to its size. Given this is an early test mule, more changes could be revealed in future spy shots or when the production model launches, likely by early next year.
The interior of the updated Brezza remains a mystery for now, as the recently surfaced spy video doesn’t offer a clear look inside. However, industry sources suggest that Maruti Suzuki is likely to retain the familiar layout, with subtle enhancements. Some of the expected changes include a new steering wheel and revised upholstery. Features-wise, the updated Brezza could get a larger infotainment touchscreen with updated software, ventilated front seats, a fully digital instrument cluster, and a powered driver’s seat. Speculations are rife that Maruti Suzuki may equip the new Brezza with Level 2 ADAS to enhance its competitive appeal in the compact SUV segment.

The current CNG variant uses a single cylinder placed in the boot, which significantly limits luggage space. With the facelift, Maruti Suzuki could shift to dual-cylinder technology or introduce an underbody-mounted CNG tank to free up room. The video claims the presence of an underbody setup, but this hasn’t been clearly visible in the available images yet.
The existing Maruti Suzuki Brezza comes with two powertrain options: a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated K15C petrol engine, which features mild-hybrid technology, and a dual-fuel CNG variant. For the upcoming Brezza facelift, this familiar powertrain setup is expected to carry over without significant changes.
