Maruti Suzuki calls in 20,427 units of S-Cross for service

Maruti Suzuki has called in a large number of S-Cross models to voluntarily replace brake calipers over a suspected fault. Maruti Suzuki has just announced a service camp for its S-Cross premium crossover in regard to replace brake calipers

Maruti Suzuki has called in a large number of S-Cross models to voluntarily replace brake calipers over a suspected fault.

Maruti Suzuki has just announced a service camp for its S-Cross premium crossover in regard to replace brake calipers on 20,427 units voluntarily owing to a suspected fault in the part. There have been no reported incidents in relation to the matter and is a voluntary initiative on Maruti’s part change a potentially defective part. The inspection and replacement of the part will be done free of cost to owners by Maruti Suzuki.

The recall effects both the 1.3 litre engined DDiS 200 model and the more powerful DDiS 320 1.6 litre engined car. Between July 2015 and April 2016 Maruti Suzuki has sold 25684 units of the S-Cross.

If you are a Maruti Suzuki S-Cross customer you can check if your car is affected by the recall by filling in your 14 digit alpha-numeric chassis number of your S-Cross model. The chassis number is to be preceded by entering the code - MA3.

Maruti Suzuki has setup a page on their Nexa website where customers can enter the chassis numbers of their cars to check if the particular car has been affected by the recall. You can click on the link here to go to the page -
