MG Cyberster concept revealed in pictures ahead of Shanghai Auto Show

To be showcased at the Shanghai Auto Show, 2021, MG has unveiled its upcoming roadster in pictures and has leaked a few details of the all-electric concept. For more details, read below
 
MG (Morris Garages) teased its upcoming all-electric concept last month. The car maker has now taken the wraps off the EV roadster and has handed out the details before showcasing the car in flesh at the Shanghai Auto Show. As known before, the MG Cyberster has a claimed range of 800km - which if tested true in the real-world testing, could set a benchmark in the segment. Also, the claimed 0-100kmph timing for the Cyberster is under 3 seconds.

The styling is subjective, however the roadster sports a sleek design on the exterior and given its hi-tech cabin, MG has smartly played with words and dubbed the upcoming concept as 'Cyberster' - Which is very catchy in our opinion. The rear end sports a design language that MG likes to call ‘Kammback’ styling. The overall styling is an inspiration drawn from MG B Roadster from yesteryears. However elements such as all-LED headlamps and taillamps, multi spoke wheel design, thought out aerodynamics and connected tech add a modern appeal to the roadster.

The Cyberster will come equipped with 5G connected tech and is most likely to host the next generation multimedia user interface as opposed to what we see in the MG Hector. Cabin is the mainstay of the Cyberster. It hosts two seats that MG likes to call ‘zero gravity seats’ and gets a steering wheel inspired by a gaming console. The cabin follows a theme in line to influence Gen Z - says MG.
