Mini Cooper Paddy Hopkirk Edition launched

This special edition Mini Cooper pays homage to Paddy Hopkirk’s first Monte Carlo Rally win on-board the classic Mini Cooper S. Priced at Rs 41.70 lakh, only 15 units of the Paddy Hopkirk Edition will be sold in India

After the Sidewalk Edition in October, Mini has now brought in another special edition variant of the Cooper S. Say hello to the Mini Cooper Paddy Hopkirk Edition. This limited-edition variant of the Mini Cooper pays tribute to Paddy Hopkirk’s first victory at the Monte Carlo Rally on-board a classic Mini Cooper S. The Paddy Hopkirk Edition has been launched at Rs 41.70 lakh (ex-showroom). Just like the Sidewalk Edition, Mini will only sell 15 units of this new variant too.

The Paddy Hopkirk Edition gets a special Chilli Red exterior paint scheme with contrasting Aspen White shade on the roof. There’s also a thick white stripe running along the length of the bonnet with Paddy Hopkirk’s autograph, and 33EJB badging. The ace rally driver’s signature also appears on the door sills, C-Pillars and in the cockpit. As a tribute to the rally victory, the car also gets No. 37 stickers on the doors. The car also gets some gloss black touches including the front grille, ORVM casings, alloy wheels and more. Mini has gone all out and given the interior some special touches including JCW leather-wrapped steering. Other features exclusive to this variant include a panoramic glass roof, rearview camera and more.

At the heart, the Mini Cooper Paddy Hopkirk Edition will continue to be powered by a 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol motor that produces 189bhp and 280Nm. Mated to a 7-speed Steptronic Sport Transmission, Mini claims the car can do 0-100kn/h in 6.7 seconds. The car can record a top speed of 235km/h.
