Audi has unveiled the second-generation Q3 Sportback, expanding its compact SUV line-up with a coupe-styled model. The new Sportback is based on the same platform as the Q3 SUV and will go on sale in global markets before making its way to India in 2025. Key design changes include a flowing roofline and larger alloy wheels fitted as standard. The front end follows Audi’s updated design language, with split headlamps paired with LED daytime running lamps positioned above, and the hexagonal front grille sitting prominently between them.

In profile, the Sportback carries a raked C-pillar and steeply sloped rear windscreen that lowers the roofline by 29 mm compared to the Q3 SUV.

The rear styling is marked by slim tail lamps connected by a full-width light bar. Audi will also offer OLED lighting as an option. Wheel options start from 18 inches, going up to 20 inches, while the Q3 SUV offers 17-inch alloys as standard.
The layout of the Q3 Sportback mirrors that of the Q3 SUV. Audi has introduced button-based controls on the steering column to replace traditional levers. Higher trims are equipped with an 11.9-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12.8-inch infotainment touchscreen.

Due to its sloping roof, rear headroom is fractionally reduced, and the boot space is smaller by 97 litres compared to the Q3 SUV.
The Sportback’s engine portfolio mirrors that of the Q3 SUV, including a 1.5-litre petrol, 2.0-litre petrol in two states of tune, a 2.0-litre diesel, and a plug-in hybrid producing 268bhp and 400Nm. The hybrid has an EV-only driving range of up to 118 km, slightly lower than the Q3 SUV’s figure.
