New Bentley Continental GT S, GT Convertible S Debut With Plug-In Hybrid Powertrain

The 2026 Bentley Continental GT S and Continental GT Convertible S have received the much-anticipated electrified setup with the British marque’s new Ultra Performance Hybrid powertrain. Replacing the traditional V8-only configuration, the new system pairs a 4.0-litre V8 with an electric motor to produce a total of 670bhp and 930Nm, about 128bhp more than the outgoing model. This enables the Continental GT S to accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in 3.5 seconds and reach a top speed of 306km/h. Going hybrid hasn’t compromised the V8’s essence, as a standard sports exhaust preserves its signature sound. Moreover, the car can travel up to 80 kilometres on electric power alone. 2026 Bentley Continental GT S, Continental GT Convertible S: Chassis

The Continental GT S now features Bentley’s Performance Active Chassis, previously exclusive to the GT Speed and Mulliner. The setup includes active all-wheel drive, twin-valve dampers, torque vectoring across both axles, Bentley’s 48V Dynamic Ride active anti-roll system, and the latest ESC software.

The Continental GT S also debuts an electronic limited-slip differential and all-wheel steering. Drivers can choose from several modes, including Dynamic, which allows controlled rear-axle slip for a more engaging driving experience.

The new Continental GT S models feature a darker, more athletic look, characterised by black exterior accents, dark-tinted lighting, and 22-inch alloy wheels. 

Inside, the performance-focused theme is highlighted by a sporty seat design, dual-tone upholstery, and Tactile Dinamica technical fabric on key touchpoints. The cabin’s standard Piano Black veneer complements the Blackline exterior theme, while high-gloss carbon fibre and other finishes are available as options. Buyers can also choose full leather upholstery and dark-tint chrome details.
