Hyundai's factory in the Czech Republic has commenced production of the new Kona Electric, in line with the company's goal of selling completely zero-emission cars in Europe by 2035. This move is part of the automaker's broader electrification strategy, which involves introducing eleven new EVs by 2030. The first-generation Kona Electric was produced in Europe in 2020, reducing delivery times to European customers by strategically manufacturing the vehicle at HMMC alongside the supply from the Ulsan factory in South Korea. The upcoming Kona EV will continue this approach to better cater to the European market. Two vehicle variations with different battery packs will be created in the Czech Republic production facility. The manufacturer intends to produce 21,000 units by the end of the year, followed by 50,000 units the following year. Here is everything you need to know more about the upcoming electric vehicle by Hyundai for the global market.
