Hyundai is actively road-testing what appears to be the next-generation Venue in India, hinting at a full-fledged model upgrade in the pipeline. Though the test vehicle remains under heavy camouflage, its sighting marks the beginning of the brand’s efforts to reinvent one of its best-selling compact SUVs for a new product cycle. The official launch is projected for around October this year, with manufacturing likely to begin at the company’s Talegaon plant later this year. As we await the official launch, these early spy shots offer the first hints of what’s to come from the brand’s popular urban SUV.
The 2025 Hyundai Venue is gearing up for a significant makeover, featuring upgraded styling, enhanced features, and improved safety, all while sticking with the current engine and transmission options.
Inspired by the design language of Hyundai’s larger SUVs like the Creta and Alcazar, the refreshed Venue showcases several updated elements. Recent spy shots reveal a revamped front grille with unique patterns, redesigned bumpers, sharper LED daytime running lights, and new dual-tone alloy wheels. The presence of a “DCT” badge on the front fenders suggests the automatic gearbox will remain. At the rear, expect subtle changes such as new LED tail lamps and a slightly altered bumper, though the vehicle’s overall dimensions and silhouette will stay the same.

Under the hood, the Venue will continue with its existing engine lineup: an 82bhp, 1.2-litre naturally aspirated (NA) petrol, a 118bhp, 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol, and a 114bhp, 1.5-litre diesel engine. Transmission choices remain unchanged, including a five-speed manual, a six-speed manual, and seven-speed dual-clutch automatic.
Inside, the Venue is set to receive updated interior trims, a fully redesigned dashboard, and new upholstery materials. Changes to the centre console and the addition of ambient lighting aim to boost the cabin’s premium feel. The higher-end variants might come equipped with a bigger infotainment screen, ventilated front seats, a digital instrument cluster, and a panoramic sunroof to elevate comfort and technology offerings.

On the safety front, notable upgrades are in store. Rear disc brakes, previously exclusive to the Venue N Line, may become standard or more widely available. Furthermore, the SUV’s driver assistance system is expected to advance from Level 1 to Level 2 ADAS, bringing in features such as forward collision alert, adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, lane keep assist, and blind spot monitoring.
Once it arrives, the revamped Hyundai Venue will re-enter the fray against familiar rivals such as the Skoda Kushaq, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Tata Nexon, and the Mahindra XUV 3XO in the compact SUV segment.
