Tata Motors has officially revealed the pricing for the all-new Altroz hatchback, with the base variant starting at Rs 6.89 lakh and the top-of-the-line model priced at Rs 11.29 lakh. Both mentioned prices are ex-showroom figures. This launch marks the first major overhaul of the Altroz since its debut in early 2020, aside from the earlier rollout of variants like the iCNG, iTurbo, and Racer. The refreshed Altroz will be offered in five trims – Smart, Pure, Creative, Accomplished S, and Accomplished+ S – and customers can choose from five exterior colours: Royal Blue, Ember Glow, Dune Glow, Pure Grey, and Pristine White. Bookings for the updated model are set to commence on June 2.
Tata Motors has thoroughly reimagined the Altroz for 2025, introducing sweeping design changes. The front profile has been significantly overhauled, now sporting a newly designed grille, along with sleek dual-pod LED projector headlamps integrated with daytime running lights. The bumper has been restyled to project a more aggressive stance, featuring a broader air inlet and modernised LED fog lamps.

The side profile gets a boost in style with redesigned 16-inch alloy wheels and flush-fitting illuminated door handles, an innovation new to this segment. At the back, the hatchback adopts connected LED tail lamps and a reshaped bumper, while the reverse light has been repositioned beneath the number plate. Tata continues to offer its trademark 90-degree opening doors, making cabin entry and exit more convenient.
The interior of the updated Altroz has been refined with a new beige upholstery theme and subtle dashboard enhancements. These include ambient white lighting, a backlit two-spoke steering wheel, and glossy black accents that lend a more premium look. One of the most notable upgrades is the addition of twin 10.25-inch screens – one serving as the digital instrument cluster and the other as the infotainment display. Replacing traditional knobs, the climate control system now uses touch-sensitive inputs, and automatic variants come with a redesigned gear lever for added convenience.
Talking about safety, the updated Altroz maintains its strong position, continuing with its 5-star Global NCAP crash test rating. Safety features such as six airbags, ISOFIX child seat anchors, and Electronic Stability Program (ESP) are offered as standard across the board. Higher-spec trims bring in additional protective tech like a 360-degree HD surround camera system, blind spot monitoring, and SOS emergency assistance.
The powertrain lineup remains varied and versatile. Buyers can choose from a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine (88bhp/115Nm), a performance-oriented 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine (118bhp/170Nm) exclusive to the Racer edition, a 1.5-litre diesel (89bhp/200Nm), or a 1.2-litre bi-cylinder CNG setup. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual, a 5-speed automated manual transmission (AMT) with petrol, and a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic (DCA), making the Altroz the only hatchback in its segment to provide all three gearbox types.
