Next-Gen Ford Ranger teased

Ford’s global pickup truck, the Ranger, is set to get a makeover. A new platform, new styling, and a new engine are a few things that we expect to see on the new 2022 Ranger, which will be unveiled by the end of the month.

An all-new generation of the Ford Ranger pickup truck will be digitally unveiled on November 24, 2021. This iteration of the Ranger will be based on an all-new platform.

Reports also suggest that the enthusiast-favoured Ranger Raptor model is likely to replace its 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel EcoBlue motor with a 2.7-litre V6 petrol EcoBoost engine. The 10-speed automatic gearbox, however, is likely to remain the same.

Other models will most probably get the same 2.0-litre four-pot and 3.0-litre V6 twin-turbo-diesel engine as before.

The teaser image mainly highlights the C-shaped LED DRLs. But a newly styled front grille and headlamps are expected on the new Ranger. Similar treatment is expected on the tail section as well. The cabin could also see a complete overhaul in terms of styling.

There will also be an SUV derivate of the new Ford Ranger, called the Everest. That said, in India, the Ford Everest is popular as the Ford Endeavour. But given that Ford India has ceased its local production, the manufacturer will now focus on CBU products, and the new Ford Everest (Endeavour) is likely to be one of the CBU vehicles on-cards for Ford India. And if launched via the CBU route, the price tag of the new 2022 Ford Endeavour will be very high.
