Kia will reveal the second-generation Seltos for the global market on December 10, 2025. The updated SUV has been spotted testing multiple times on both international and domestic roads, hinting at significant changes inside and out. Although Kia has yet to announce an official India launch timeline, market speculation suggests the new-gen Seltos could make its way here sometime next year.
The current model is priced between Rs 10.79 lakh and Rs 19.81 lakh (ex-showroom, pan-India). Given the comprehensive exterior and interior revisions expected, the upcoming Seltos is likely to carry a noticeable price premium. That said, it will continue to have familiar rivals such as the Hyundai Creta, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Honda Elevate, and Skoda Kushaq.
Previous Spy shots suggest the next-gen Seltos is gearing up for a thorough visual transformation. Up front, it’s expected to feature a redesigned face with squarish LED headlamp clusters, vertically stacked DRLs, and a more prominent grille. The profile appears boxier, likely a result of a marginal size increase, and is equipped with new alloy wheels and a larger rear quarter glass. The rear is expected to include C-shaped LED taillamps and diagonally placed turn indicators.
Inside, the cabin is anticipated to follow Kia’s new-age design direction seen on the Syros SUV. It is likely to house a triple-screen setup—two 12.3-inch displays and a compact 5-inch climate control screen.

In terms of features, the next-gen Seltos is expected to come equipped with a pair of 12.3-inch screens, along with a dedicated 5-inch climate control display. Buyers may also anticipate connected car functionalities, with the advanced features exclusive to higher trims.
The SUV is also likely to have a 360-degree camera system, Level-2 ADAS and TPMS. Other possible amenities are ventilated and power-adjustable front seats, dual-zone climate control with rear vents, and a panoramic sunroof.
For India, the next-gen Seltos is expected to stick with its proven engine lineup: the 1.5-litre NA petrol, the punchy 1.5-litre turbo-petrol, and the efficient 1.5-litre diesel. These motors will continue to offer their current performance figures and will be available with a familiar set of gearboxes, including manual, CVT, iMT, DCT, and automatic options, all channelling power to the front wheels.

Interestingly, industry reports indicate that Kia is experimenting with a hybrid power unit and an AWD configuration for the global version of the new Seltos, though their chances of making it to the Indian market are very uncertain.
