SAVWIPL has issued a voluntary recall for 158 Porsche Panameras due to a potential safety issue. The cars affected by this recall were manufactured between July 19, 2023 and September 2, 2025. The reason for this recall has been stated as a production error, wherein the cabling for the crash sensors in the door panels has been incorrectly placed. This could cause a delay in triggering the side airbags in the event of a crash, increasing the risk of injury.
Porsche is expected to reach out to owners of the affected cars, and carry out the required procedures. This would be, of course, at no cost to the customers. Alternatively, owners can reach out to their Porsche dealer to check if their car is a part of the recall.
