Renault India has confirmed that prices across its entire line-up will go up by up to 2 per cent from 1 January 2026. All models and variants sold in the country will be part of this revision. If you are planning a purchase, current prices stay valid until 31 December 2025, which gives buyers a short window to lock in a deal. Think of it like filling fuel before a long ride when you know prices are about to jump.
The move places Renault alongside several other carmakers that have already signalled similar changes for the new year. For buyers in the market right now, December becomes a key month, especially for those looking at entry-level and compact models, where even a small hike makes a difference to the final on-road bill.

Renault has clarified that the increase will vary depending on the model and variant, with the cap set at around 2 per cent. The company points to higher input costs, currency movement and overall macroeconomic pressure as the reasons behind the decision. Manufacturing and operational expenses have gone up, making it harder to hold prices at current levels going into 2026.

In India, Renault currently sells the Kwid, Triber and Kiger, and all three will see revised prices from January. As of December 2025, the Kwid is priced between around Rs 4.30 lakh and Rs 5.99 lakh. The Triber sits between Rs 5.76 lakh and Rs 8.60 lakh, while the Kiger ranges from Rs 5.76 lakh to Rs 10.34 lakh, all ex-showroom.

Looking ahead, Renault is preparing the new-generation Duster for an India debut in 2026, followed by a seven-seat version later in the year. Both SUVs are expected to use a 1.3-litre turbo-petrol engine and will be produced at the alliance plant near Chennai. These launches form part of Renault’s plan to grow volumes and expand its SUV portfolio in the Indian market.
