Lexus has presented the LS Concept at the Japan Mobility Show 2025, showcasing the future direction of its flagship LS series. The concept replaces the sedan form with a six-wheeled luxury van. This version focuses on passenger comfort and usable space rather than driver engagement. Lexus describes the concept as a step toward the next stage of mobility, combining electric power and autonomous systems. The six-wheel layout is the LS Concept’s most distinctive element. It uses four smaller wheels at the rear to create a flat cabin floor that supports three seating rows and seats up to seven people. This layout gives more flexibility for interior design, allowing the vehicle to be configured for business or chauffeur use.

Lexus has applied this design to demonstrate how large vans can balance space, comfort, and stability in future premium vehicles.
The exterior design takes cues from Lexus’s ongoing style changes. The front replaces the brand’s spindle grille with L-shaped light elements. The sides rise sharply around the rear wheels and use transparent panels to balance outside visibility and privacy.

At the rear, a U-shaped light bar connects both ends, and the tailgate opens vertically in two sections. These elements form a clean structure that keeps the design linked to Lexus’s modern identity.
The LS Concept focuses on how passengers use the space during travel. Wide sliding doors make entry easier, and the interior can be rearranged for work or relaxation. Adjustable seats, lighting control, and sound insulation create a calm setting.

The materials and design follow Lexus’s goal of offering comfort and convenience through simple layouts. Each part of the cabin is arranged to support privacy, quietness, and freedom of movement.

Through the LS Concept, Lexus outlines its plan for the future of luxury transport. The company recognises that customer interest is moving away from sedans toward SUVs and vans that offer more space and flexibility. With this concept, Lexus signals a shift from performance-centred sedans to larger vehicles built around comfort, technology, and efficient electric mobility.
