Skoda enters used car market with certified pre-owned programme
Last month, Skoda had revealed its intention of entering the used car market in India and today, the Czech brand has officially entered the space with its 'Certified Pre-Owned' programme. To start with, the service has been rolled out only in nine cities.

The Skoda Certified Pre-Owned programme will be rolled out across India over the next 12 months. It will also deal in non-Skoda branded vehicles.
Last month, Skoda had revealed its intention of entering the used car market in India, and today, the Czech brand has officially entered the space with its 'Certified Pre-Owned' programme. To start with, the service has been rolled out only in nine cities – Mumbai, Delhi (NCR), Coimbatore, Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Surat, Vadodara, Hyderabad, and Goa. But a nationwide rollout is expected to happen over the next 12 months, as part of the ‘INDIA 2.0’ project.
Sharing his thoughts on the programme, Mr Zac Hollis (Brand Director – Skoda Auto India) said, 'The used car business, in India, has registered multi-fold growth over the past many years. We have also identified an innate demand among pre-owned car buyers for Skoda products...through this initiative, Skoda Auto India aims to offer a one-stop-shop to buy, sell, or exchange certified, multi-brand pre-owned vehicles to prospective buyers seeking cost-effective personal mobility solutions'.
All Skoda-branded cars bought under the 'Certified Pre-Owned' programme will come with a standard warranty of up to 24 months or 1,50,000 kilometres (whichever is earlier). As mentioned above, the programme offers multi-brand solutions and therefore, non-Skoda vehicles bought under this programme will come with a warranty of up to 12 months/15,000km. Irrespective of the brand, customers can also avail trade-in benefits (exchange bonus) on their current car, if they choose to buy a new Skoda vehicle.
Customers who wish to try the programme virtually can visit www.skodapreowned.in and go through the entire process from the comfort of their home. The Skoda Certified Pre-Owned programme will also offer additional benefits such as Road-Side Assistance (RSA) package (optional), insurance/finance schemes, complimentary transfer of ownership documents, complete service history access, mileage assurance certificate, etc.
