Skoda Auto has released an official teaser for the Octavia Facelift ahead of its international debut in February 2024. The trailer does not offer any important information on the revamped Octavia, yet the car is anticipated to sport many exterior and interior modifications. While the Czech carmaker is currently silent on Octavia's entry in India, market rumours suggest that a limited edition of the Octavia RS iV, which integrates plug-in hybrid technology, may arrive here. If these reports are accurate, the model might be fully imported into India, potentially carrying a high price tag of approximately Rs 40 lakh (ex-showroom). The Czech carmaker reportedly plans to introduce the Superb, Enyaq iV, and the new Kodiaq to the Indian market this year. But before that, let's take a closer look at the possible traits of the new Octavia that is scheduled to debut internationally this February.
Skoda Octavia Facelift: A Glimpse Into Trailer
The official teaser suggests a sharp and aggressive front profile. The new angular daytime running lights are part of the LED headlamp assembly. The car is anticipated to include several visual enhancements, including new wheels, a revamped grille, updated front and rear bumpers, and new taillights, although the trailer did not specify anything concrete.
Skoda Octavia Facelift: Interior and Features
The Czech auto giant hasn't revealed anything about the interior, but the upcoming Skoda Octavia facelift is anticipated to have a cabin that is identical to the most recent Superb and Kodiaq models. Expected features include a heads-up display, USB Type-C connections, a 10-inch driver display, a high power output wireless charging pad, a 13-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and Skoda Smart Dials—three rotating knobs with built-in displays. Aside from this, the updated Octavia is predicted to come equipped with adaptive LED headlights, TPMS, telematics, ambient lighting, adaptive LED headlights, park assist, traction control, ESC, hill hold aid, multiple airbags, and more features.
Skoda Octavia Facelift: Powertrain
According to industry reports, Skoda intends to introduce a new hybrid powertrain option for the Octavia Facelift. In its current configuration, the sedan is available three engine options: a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine, a 2.0-litre diesel engine, and a 1.4-litre plug-in hybrid powertrain.
Skoda Octavia Facelift: Will it Come to India?
Skoda has not formally disclosed that the new Octavia will make its return to our shores. The Octavia and the Superb were removed from the Indian market earlier this year. Market reports, however, suggest that the Czech automaker intends to launch the new Kodiaq, Enyaq iV, and the Superb this year.
