Suzuki has rolled out an exclusive 55th Anniversary variant of the Jimny to honour its decades-long legacy in the off-road world. Limited to a mere 55 units and offered solely in the French market, the edition arrives as a nostalgic send-off, as the Jimny is gradually withdrawn from Europe due to increasingly stringent emission regulations. This commemorative model captures the spirit of the original with a blend of retro design cues and bespoke touches that underscore its historical significance.
On the design front, this special model features several distinctive touches, including old-school side striping, a soft spare tyre cover embossed with the Rhino motif, a redesigned honeycomb grille displaying the Suzuki moniker, as well as bright red splash guards.

Black-painted steel wheels complete the rugged aesthetic, while interested buyers can choose from four exterior paint jobs: Medium Gray, White, Bluish Black, and Jungle Green.
Mechanically, the model remains unchanged from the standard version. It continues to draw power from a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated (NA) four-cylinder engine that puts out 101bhp of maximum power and 130Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated to a five-speed manual transmission and is supported by Suzuki’s AllGrip Pro four-wheel-drive system, which includes a transfer case with low-range gearing.
Though not performance-focused, the Jimny’s light body – tipping the scales at just 1,090 kg – combined with its compact footprint and excellent off-road clearances, ensures it remains an agile and capable off-roader.
Inside, the edition includes rubberised mats for both the cabin and boot space, along with a commemorative badge mounted on the centre console. Suzuki has also added a few thoughtful accessories in France for owners, such as a custom key fob and a leather-bound travel journal designed for documenting memorable journeys.
This anniversary version is based on the Privilege variant and comes equipped with essential features such as air conditioning, seat heating, a USB charging port, and Bluetooth connectivity. However, it skips higher-end amenities such as a nine-inch infotainment unit and LED lighting, which are offered on more premium variants.
For safety, the model offers automatic high beam function, hill-start assist, lane departure warning, ABS, traffic sign recognition, active emergency braking, airbags, hill descent brake assist, and a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS).
