Tata Curvv Exhibits Ultimate Strength Test by Towing a Boeing 737

Tata's recent stunt with the Curvv SUV coupe has generated a huge buzz in India's automotive space. In an extraordinary display of power, the Curvv, featuring a 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder turbo-petrol GDi engine and a 6-speed manual transmission, successfully towed a 48,000 kg Boeing 737 for 100 metres. This incredible achievement has earned a spot in the India Book of Records, showcasing the Curvv's remarkable strength and performance. The Curvv is priced between Rs 10 lakh and Rs 19.20 lakh (ex-showroom, India) in the market. It directly competes with the Citroen Basalt and serves as an alternative to popular compact SUVs like the Kia Seltos, the Honda Elevate, and the Hyundai Creta.

Tata Curvv: Engine

The Tata Curvv offers a diverse range of engine options, with two turbo-petrol variants and one diesel engine to suit different preferences. The new 1.2-litre TGDi turbo-petrol engine packs 123 bhp and 225 Nm of torque, while the 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine delivers 118 bhp and 170 Nm of torque.

For those seeking more powerful performance, the 1.5-litre diesel engine provides 116 bhp and a robust 260 Nm of torque. Each engine is paired with either a 6-speed manual transmission (MT) or an optional 7-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT).

Tata Curvv: Design and Features

The SUV Coupe features a Harrier-inspired grille with chrome studs, vertically positioned headlights and foglights, and a sleek linked LED DRL strip with a unique welcome and goodbye function. It also comes equipped with front-bumper-mounted parking sensors, a camera, and flush door handles. Other highlights include 18-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, connected taillights, a rear bumper with a faux skid plate in silver, and a chrome-finished Curvv logo.
