Tata Punch EV Long-Range Now Charges 10–80% in 40 Mins, Gets Two New Colour Options

Tata Motors has introduced two new colour options — Pure Grey and Supernova Copper — for the Punch EV. The other hues, including Empowered Oxide, Seaweed, Daytona Red, Pristine White, and Fearless Red, will continue to be available. Note that these colour options vary depending on the chosen variant. In addition to the cosmetic enhancement, Tata Motors has also rolled out a significant charging upgrade for the electrified Punch. The long-range variants of the Tata Punch EV now feature a faster charging speed. Customers can now charge their Punch EV from 10% to 80% in approximately 40 minutes using a 50 kW DC fast charger or higher, and that's enough to top roughly 90 kilometres of range in 15 minutes. Other than this, the EV remains the same in all aspects. 

Tata Punch EV: Powertrain

The Punch EV offers two battery options: Medium Range and Long Range. The MR version uses a 25kWh battery, and generates 81bhp and 114Nm. It offers a range of 265 kilometres.

Meanwhile, the LR version packs a larger 35kWh battery that produces 120bhp and 190Nm. It has a range of 365 kilometres. Both variants come with a front-wheel-drive (FWD) setup. 

Tata Punch EV: Features

The Tata Punch EV comes packed with an array of features, including a 10.25-inch dual-screen setup (one for the infotainment system and the other for the digital instrument cluster). It is also equipped with an air purifier, ventilated front seats, a 6-speaker audio system with two tweeters, and ambient lighting. The addition of a single-pane sunroof further enhances the cabin experience.

As for safety, the car packs six airbags as standard, an electronic parking brake with auto hold, electronic stability control (ESC), and a 360-degree camera. 

Tata Punch EV: Price

The price of the Punch EV in India starts at Rs 9.99 lakh and reaches up to Rs 14.44 lakh. Both are ex-showroom figures.
