Tata Motors has unveiled the Punch Facelift ahead of its launch in India on January 13, 2026. The updated micro-SUV features a new front-end design, inspired by the Punch EV, alongside subtle styling changes across the body. The biggest update comes under the hood, with Tata introducing a new 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine in the Punch iTurbo range, paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox. That said, the existing naturally aspirated petrol and CNG variants will remain a part of the lineup. Here’s everything you need to know about the changes in the Tata Punch Facelift.

After the makeover, the Tata Punch looks more contemporary and rugged. It features a redesigned black grille, sleek LED DRLs, a muscular front bumper with dark cladding, LED headlamps, a silver skid plate, and connected LED taillamps. Tata has also introduced new 16-inch alloys and a new blue shade for the SUV.

Inside, the Tata Punch Facelift has also seen an array of thoughtful updates. A key highlight is the new 2-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated Tata logo. The facelift also gets touch-based climate control panels, paired with toggle-style controls for ease of use. The seats are upholstered in a grey and blue colour scheme, and the entertainment and information tech has taken a step up with a bigger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, featuring a sleeker bezel design, and a 7-inch digital instrument cluster. It is also likely to come with a 360-degree camera.

The Punch i-Turbo will likely use the 1.2-litre, three-cylinder turbo-petrol engine sourced from the Altroz Racer. This unit on the Altroz Racer produces 118bhp at 5,500rpm and 170Nm of torque between 1,750 and 4,000rpm. As seen in the teaser video, the six-speed manual gearbox will send power to the front wheels.
