The second half of January will be action-packed with some highly anticipated car launches, following the arrival of models like the 2026 Kia Seltos and the XUV 7XO earlier this month. With launches across segments, including the new Renault Duster and Toyota’s version of the e Vitara, the month continues to look promising for anyone planning a new car purchase. Here’s what’s coming next.

Expected Price: Rs 17 Lakh
The Toyota Urban Cruiser EV will make its debut in India on January 19. The EV features sleek LED headlights with DRLs, C-pillar-mounted rear door handles, alloy wheels, and a full-width rear taillight strip. Sharing the e Vitara’s powertrain, it will offer 49kWh and 61kWh battery options paired with a front-mounted motor producing 142bhp and 172bhp, respectively, delivering ranges of 344 km (WLTP) and 543 km (ARAI) on a single charge.

Expected Price: Rs 6.30 Lakh
The Gravite MPV will be launched in India on January 21. It is expected to be based on the Triber platform, and use the same 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine with 71bhp and 96Nm, paired with a 5-speed manual or AMT.

The Gravite stands out with a honeycomb-patterned grille, sculpted bonnet, redesigned bumpers, refreshed alloy wheels, and uniquely styled taillights. Inside, it is expected to feature a 7-inch digital cluster, an 8-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless charging, and a host of safety features, including six airbags and TPMS.
Expected Price: Rs 10 Lakh
Renault is gearing up to launch the new Duster on January 26. The SUV features a refreshed grille, Y-shaped LED lights, squared wheel arches, and wide cladding, all contributing to a bold stance. Inside, buyers will find a touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a digital instrument cluster, and wireless charging.
Initially, the Duster will come with petrol engines, including a 1.3-litre turbo producing 151bhp, offered with manual or dual-clutch automatic gearboxes, while a hybrid variant could join later.

Expected Price: Rs 44 lakh
Volkswagen’s flagship Tayron R-Line is expected to launch in India later this month. It is likely to be powered by a 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine producing 204bhp and 320Nm, paired with a 7-speed DCT automatic and AWD system. Features-wise, the India-spec model will come with a massive 15-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a panoramic sunroof, 10-point massaging and ventilated front seats, and ambient lighting. It is also said to feature an 850-litre boot space (with the third row folded).

The e Vitara is also expected to go on sale in India by the end of January 2026. Built on the HEARTECT-e platform, the five-seater electric SUV will offer two battery options: a 49kWh pack with 344 kilometres of range and a 61kWh pack with 543 kilometres, and output ranging between 142–172bhp.
