The upcoming Auto Expo 2023, which will commence on January 13, will see the debut of several new cars and two-wheelers.

A number of reports have emerged online, giving us hints about what to anticipate in terms of new launches at the Auto Expo 2023. According to the reports, we may soon witness the debut of up to eight SUVs by major automakers at the event. Let's quickly take a look at some of these models.

Maruti Suzuki Baleno Cross

The new Baleno hatchback-based crossover from Maruti Suzuki is expected to make its public debut at the 2023 Auto Expo. The model will reportedly be on sale through Nexa dealerships in February 2023. According to reports, the all-new Maruti Baleno Cross could get a 1.0-litre Boosterjet engine, producing 102bhp and 150Nm. Mild hybrid technology could be used to augment the motor's performance and fuel efficiency. The upcoming Maruti crossover might also be equipped with a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine or a 1.5-litre Dualjet petrol engine. There will be manual and automatic transmission options available.

Maruti Suzuki Jimny 5-Door

The Jimny SUV made its appearance at the Auto Expo 2020 and has since become one of the most talked-about cars in the country. A 5-door version is shortly anticipated to make its Indian debut. Suzuki's 1.5-litre K15C Dualjet engine with either a five-speed manual or a six-speed automatic gearbox may power the 5-door Jimny. It will also feature a digital instrument cluster, hill-hold assist, a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with smartphone connectivity, a height-adjustable driver's seat, and other notable features.

Hyundai Creta Facelift

An updated Hyundai Creta could be unveiled by the South Korean automaker at the biennial auto show. The ADAS (advanced driver assistance system) technology will be a significant addition to the updated model. A modernised digital instrument panel and BlueLink-connected car technology will also be present in the SUV. The 2023 Hyundai Creta facelift could feature a new parametric grille, which seamlessly blends with the LED DRLs, an updated bumper, a bigger air inlet, new LED taillamps, and a redesigned tailgate with distinct creases.

Tata Harrier Facelift

The Tata Harrier facelift can potentially make its debut at the upcoming Expo. The SUV is believed to include an air purifier, a 360-degree surround-view camera, ventilated seats, and ADAS features. It might come with an updated infotainment system to accommodate wireless smartphone connectivity. A redesigned grille, updated headlamps, a revised front bumper, and newly designed alloy wheels will comprise the vehicle's exterior changes. A 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine with 150bhp will likely be introduced with the new Harrier, alongside the current 2.0-litre diesel option.

Tata Punch EV

Tata Motors is aiming to expand its range of electric vehicles, and for that, the firm plans to unveil the new Punch EV concept at the 2023 Auto Expo. The ALFA Platform serves as the foundation for this new EV SUV and is adaptable to many powertrain configurations, including those that are 100% electric.
