Toyota three-row Hyryder has been spoted in India during fresh road tests, with the latest prototype seen in Ladakh. The SUV appears longer than the current Urban Cruiser Hyryder and shows a stretched wheelbase and extended rear section to make space for a third row. Heavy camouflage covers most design details, but the overall silhouette remains close to the five-seat model. Toyota and Maruti Suzuki are working on this larger version using the same platform as the Hyryder and Grand Vitara. The new model is expected to target buyers who need more seating while keeping hybrid powertrain options. Demand for three-row SUVs in India continues to grow, and this upcoming Hyryder could become a key option for families looking for space, efficiency and everyday usability without moving into a larger SUV class.

The side profile shows clear changes. The rear overhang is longer and the quarter glass area is bigger, pointing to extra space for third-row passengers. The test vehicle also features roof rails, a shark-fin antenna and new alloy wheels. At the rear, the tailgate looks revised and the tail-lamps could feature a connected lighting layout. Toyota is likely to rework the suspension and boot space so the SUV can handle passengers and luggage when all three rows are in use.
Up front, the design is expected to stay close to the current Hyryder with small updates. Revised headlamps, a tweaked grille and a new bumper are likely. Toyota may also add a fresh LED daytime running lamp signature and a different alloy wheel design to set the three-row version apart. Inside, the dashboard layout should remain similar to the existing model with a digital instrument cluster, touchscreen infotainment system, automatic climate control and connected features. The main change will be the addition of a third row and a revised seating setup.
Engine options are expected to carry over from the standard Hyryder. This includes the 1.5-litre petrol mild-hybrid and the 1.5-litre strong-hybrid paired with an e-CVT. Manual and automatic gearbox options should continue.
The three-row Hyryder will sit above the current model in Toyota’s India line-up and will share several components with the upcoming Maruti Suzuki three-row SUV based on the Grand Vitara. Toyota has not confirmed a launch timeline yet, but ongoing tests across different conditions indicate that development is progressing. More details on features and variants are expected closer to its official reveal.
