Toyota recently launched new ‘Neo Drive’ versions of the Fortuner and Legender, featuring a 48V mild-hybrid system to enhance fuel efficiency and driving comfort.

Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) registered a 5% increase in sales in June 2025, with total volumes reaching 28,869 units, up from 27,474 units in June 2024. This figure includes 26,453 units sold within India and 2,416 units shipped to overseas markets. Looking at the broader January–June 2025 period, the company recorded a 16% year-on-year rise in overall sales, delivering close to 1.75 lakh units, compared to approximately 1.50 lakh units during the same six-month span last year.
Sharing his views on the brand's sales performance, Varinder Wadhwa, Vice President of Sales-Service-Used Car Business, TKM, remarked, 'TKM sales in the month of June 2025 was 5% higher than those of June 2024. We continue to strongly engage with our customers through after-sales service support offerings and value-added offerings that are aimed at enriching their ownership experience at every step. As we move through the rest of the year, we will remain agile and focused on what our customers want and continue to serve the market effectively.'

For the uninitiated, Toyota recently introduced the updated ‘Neo Drive’ variants of the Fortuner and Legender, featuring a new 48V system designed to enhance efficiency, responsiveness, as well as overall driving comfort.
The Innova Hycross also made headlines as the first MPV to undergo testing under the Bharat NCAP program, where it earned a full five-star safety rating across both its petrol and strong-hybrid versions. The score applies to all petrol and strong-hybrid trims.
The MPV earned top scores in the side impact assessment and performed strongly in the frontal offset crash, offering high levels of protection for key body regions of both the driver and front passenger.
In child occupant tests, it achieved the highest possible scores for 18-month-old and 3-year-old dummy protection in both frontal and side crash scenarios.

On the safety front, the Innova Hycross is equipped with a comprehensive list of features, including a tyre pressure monitoring system, six airbags, an electronic parking brake with auto hold, a 360-degree camera, an electronic stability control (ESC), ISOFIX mounts, hill-start assist, and ADAS functionalities such as blind spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, and lane keep assist.
