Toyota has taken a major step in the legacy of the Land Cruiser 300 Series by introducing a hybrid powertrain option that churns out more powerful 457bhp and 790Nm. For now, the hybrid model has made its debut in the Middle East, and a global rollout is on the cards. However, an exact launch timeline for specific markets, including ours, has yet to be confirmed. The Land Cruiser with an updated powertrain now adds to the long-standing popularity of the moniker. It claims to offer better fuel efficiency and increased performance. Let's take a closer look at some notable features of the hybrid SUV.
The heart of the LC 300 is the 3.5-litre twin-turbo V6 petrol engine paired with a single electric motor that pumps out a maximum power output of 457bhp, and a peak torque of 790Nm, an increase of around 54bhp and 140Nm over the standard counterpart. However, the transmission chores are still handled by a 10-speed automatic unit.

Notably, the SUV in India comes with a 3.3-litre twin-turbo V6 diesel engine that produces 304bhp of power at 4,000rpm and a torque of 700Nm between 1,600rpm and 2,600rpm.
While the exterior remains largely the same, the updated SUV boasts a few subtle tweaks. These include an updated lower end of the front bumper and a distinct 'HEV' emblem on the tailgate.
The interior of the Land Cruiser 300 is more tech-forward. It sports a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster with hybrid-specific visuals. There is also a power outlet in the boot section.
The SUV is priced at AED 389,900 (around Rs 91.80 lakh) for the VXR version and AED 409,900 (approximately Rs 96.51 lakh) for the GR-Sport variant.
Earlier this year, Toyota launched the 2025 Land Cruiser 300 in India, with prices ranging between Rs 2.31 crore and Rs 2.41 crore (both prices, ex-showroom).
Toyota has been one of the strongest automotive players in India, securing its name in the top 5 best-selling carmakers almost every month.

The company sold 30,864 units in May 2025, showing an increase of 22% over 25,273 units sold in the month last year.
