Tata Motors revealed the Harrier EV concept at the Auto Expo 2023. Right now, the home-grown auto giant hasn't revealed any exact information, but market speculations claim that the production model of the concept will arrive in India sometime in 2024. Visually, the concept version of the EV differs from the petrol-powered model. According to industry reports, the upcoming production-spec Harrier EV will retain the styling of the concept. The reports also claim that Tata Gen 2 (also known as Sigma) platform, which is a substantially modified version, will serve as the foundation for the upcoming electric SUV.

More details on the SUV are expected to emerge closer to the launch, which might take place around the Diwali season of this year.

According to industry speculations, the electric Harrier will launch next year. It is anticipated to be joined by an electric variant of the Safari SUV. Several industry reports claim that the electric Safari will look like the EV version of the Harrier. Its powertrain configuration might contain a battery with a 60kWh capacity, with a range of about 400–500 kilometre. Similar to the Harrier EV, the electric version of the Safari may also get a reworked front bumper, blackened housing surrounding the headlamp clusters, updated central air intake with a blanked-off panel, and more.
