I’m sure if you own an Aston Martin of any kind make or colour you must feel very special, elegant, invincible, powerful with class. But none of those thing mattered when you wanted to drive your Aston across the English Channel and into France, It would sink to the bottom and you would have to swim back to shore or take a ferry to safely get that beauty across. All Aston Martin customers would agree that the problem with Aston has been buoyancy. They do have a tendency to sink to the bottom of the river.
Now however, your prayers have been answered as Aston Martin and Quintessence Yachts have together built a boat. And just like every modern Aston, it comes loaded with Power and luxury in addition to a gorgeously styled body. The Aston Martin powerboat yacht will be available with two versions. The standard AM37 has a 370 hp Mercury diesel and two 430 hp Mercury petrol variants which have a top speed of 45 knots. However, similar to a Vantage S or the DBS, you can also get a 50 knots performance version AM37S which has a twin 530 hp Mercury petrol engines.
The 37-foot model was revealed at the Monaco Yacht Show. The AM37 was designed by the same design team that gave us the One-77, Vulcan, and the new DB11 lead by Aston Martin’s chief creative officer – Marek Reichman.
Reichman commented: "AM37 is a pure translation of the Aston Martin DNA into an entirely new maritime concept. The powerboat reflects our values in terms of power, beauty and soul. The most important attribute for Aston Martin is the design language and proportion, we have transferred this DNA into AM37. It was important to us when considering this project to make sure that the boat design was as beautiful and timeless as our cars, the AM37 is a striking boat with fantastic proportion and elegance."
The AM37 also gives users the luxury to use the powerboat as a cruiser and then the deck can be transformed into a comfortable bed as well. The cabin also has mood lighting and air conditioning with a refrigerator, a microwave and a coffee machine. Aston have also thrown in a lavatory on board for going about your daily business. Crafted from the finest leathers, elegantly laid out rear seating is available for up to eight people.
The exterior design of the AM37 gets a wraparound windscreen sculpted from a single piece of glass draped over the foredeck. The sliding deck technology allows owners to cover the cockpit of the boat completely at the touch of a button.
