Audi Q8 Etron SUV

Audi India sold 7,027 luxury cars in FY23-24, representing a 33% increase. Last year at this time, the four-rings brand delivered 5,275 units. It sold 1,046 units in the first quarter of 2024 (January-March), despite supply chain bottlenecks. The sales of the pre-owned car division surged by 50% in FY23-24 and 25% from January to March 2024. The Q8 e-tron was the only new vehicle introduced in FY23-24, which comes in both standard SUV and Sportback coupe versions. The Q8 e-tron's features list includes a panoramic sunroof, power-adjustable and ventilated seats with massaging functionality, and 4-zone climate control.

Sharing his thoughts on the sales, Balbir Singh Dhillon, Head of Audi India, said "We have seen robust growth of 33% in FY23-24 on the back of a diverse portfolio. Our product portfolio continues to witness strong demand and we are poised to overcome supply challenges. Despite ongoing growth in the luxury market, which is tapering off on the back of record-breaking sales in 2023, we are confident about the industry's potential to exceed 50,000 cars in 2024."

Let's take a closer look at other developments of the firm.

Audi Recorded 89% Sales Growth In 2023, Sold 7,931 Units

Audi reported annual sales of 7,931 units in 2023, representing a year-on-year increase of 89% from the same time last year. The sales figures were also the highest since 2015. The firm attributed its success to the introduction of new products such as the Audi Q3 Sportback, Q8 e-tron, and Q8 Sportback e-tron, as well as high demand for existing vehicles such as the A4, A6, and Q5. According to the company, the majority of sales—2,401 retail units—were recorded in the fourth quarter of 2023. Compared to the same period last year, this resulted in a 94% increase.

Audi currently offers several models in India, including the A4, A6, A8 L, Q3, RS5, RSQ8, Q3 Sportback, Q5, Q7, Q8, S5, Sportback, Q8, 50 e-tron, 55 e-tron, Q8, Sportback, 55 e-tron, e-tron GT, and RS e-tron GT.
