BMW Group India posted 10% growth in H1 2025, selling 7,774 cars. BMW accounted for 7,477 units, while Mini contributed 297 Units. BMW Motorrad, on the other hand, sold 2,569 units.

BMW Group India sold 7,774 cars in the first six months of 2025, registering a 10% growth over the same period last year. The bulk of the sales came from the BMW, which accounted for 7,477 units, while Mini contributed 297 units. As for the two-wheeler, BMW Motorrad also saw strong demand, with 2,569 motorcycles sold in the first half of the year.

BMW Group India recorded sales of 1,322 electric vehicles (BMW and Mini) in H1 2025, marking a whopping 234% increase. The BMW iX1 Long Wheelbase was the best-selling model, followed by the luxury flagship BMW i7. The EVs currently comprise 18% of total BMW Group India sales.
The long wheelbase models saw an impressive rise of over 159% in the first half of 2025. From the flagship 7 Series to the versatile 3 Series and the electric iX1, these models now account for nearly half — 47% — of BMW’s total sales in the country. The BMW 5 Series stood out as the top-selling sedan, contributing close to 20% of overall sales, while the ever-popular 3 Series continued to lead the premium sedan space.
In the luxury section, the 7 Series and i7 remain segment leaders, delivering strong performance and market presence. Meanwhile, the BMW X7 has achieved an important milestone with over 5,000 units sold since its introduction in India.
The German carmaker's Sports Activity Vehicles (SAVs) witnessed a considerable growth of 17% during the first half of 2025. The share of SAVs in sales also rose from 56% in Q1 to 59% in Q2. The BMW X1 emerged as the top-performing SAV, contributing over 30% to the segment’s sales and leading the premium compact category in India. It was closely followed by the BMW X5.
The Mini Cooper S was the best-selling model with a growth of over 60% year-on-year. Meanwhile, the Cooper S and the Countryman E each commanded nearly equal shares of the brand’s overall sales.

Moving to BMW Motorrad, the G 310 RR secured its spot as the brand’s best-selling smart-cc bike in H1 2025. The 900 GS / GSA and 1300 GS / GSA models dominated the adventure touring category, and the S 1000 RR led the supersport segment.
