Continental Tires India has named Nevin Aslan-Ozkan as Managing Director. She takes charge as Continental’s India business prepares for its next phase of expansion, succeeding Samir Gupta, who left the organisation after 13 years for personal reasons. This change occurs as the manufacturer increases investment in India through manufacturing plans and a retail footprint.

Nevin Aslan-Ozkan said: "India continues to be a strong focus market for Continental Tires. Guided by our ‘In the Market, For the Market’ approach, we will continue to deliver products &technologies designed for Indian roads. I look forward to addressing the evolving expectations of Indian consumers and driving the company's next phase of growth."
Aslan-Ozkan has two decades of experience within the group. She has worked in Turkey and Germany in roles covering finance, supply chain, sales, and customer relations. She has managed operations across multiple departments before taking this position.

The appointment comes at a period of growth for Continental’s India operations, which recently launched the CrossContact A/T² for SUV and 4x4 owners, with India becoming the first global market to receive the new tyre.
The company is also investing EUR 10.5 million to expand its Modipuram manufacturing plant, a move that will increase production capacity for both passenger and commercial vehicle tyres.
