Toyota announces its customer service initiatives to cater to its customers in the time of the COVID-19 lockdown in India.

Factoring in the COVID-19 lockdown in India, Toyota has announced a set of measures to ensure that its customers do not face any inconvenience in their routine rounds of vehicles warranty, servicing, etc. Along with this, the carmaker has also announced a few new services that it will offer, such as free maintenance service, roadside assistance, extended warranty, and SMILES – a pre-paid maintenance package for up to two months. Vehicle Warranty for both new cars as well as pre-owned models purchased from Toyota U-Trust has been extended as well.

Toyota is also working to provide rapid emergency response to customers during these times so as to ensure that they don't face any inconvenience at a time when there is no help available out on the streets. Toyota has set up a Free Emergency Support to this effect for customers who do not have the coverage until 15 days post the lockdown. For Toyota vehicles being used during the time of emergency, dealerships are catering to their needs by providing doorstep essential services in compliance with local authorities.

Commenting on the announcement, Naveen Soni, Senior Vice President, Sales & Service, Toyota Kirloskar Motor, said, 'We would like to sincerely thank all our customers for their continued support and understanding over the years. To avoid any inconvenience to customers, we are trying our best to ensure seamless communication and hassle-free processes. Our "Customer Connect" program is a step to build confidence and show our commitment to our valued customers and our dealer partners in these times of distress. Taking this opportunity, we would also like to sincerely request all our customers to stay at home and follow the guidelines announced by the Government.'

Toyota India is also providing an extension of all programs and products on its cars until the 31st of May 2020. And once Toyota dealerships become operational, the company has announced that it will conduct the inspection for the vehicle, tyres, cabin, and battery at special prices.
