Having fuel delivered at your doorstep is finally a reality, at least for Bengaluru residents

Getting your ride refuelled, especially in a big metro city, is often a chore. Seldom will you meet a person who is fond of those lengthy queues found on fuel stations.

ANB fuels, a Bengaluru based private firm, might be in the right direction to sort out the city’s fuel related grievances. The firm has launched a dedicated portal for fuel delivery in Bengaluru, called MyPetrolPump. It is an online platform which allows customers to pre-book or order fuel at their doorstep. The service is operational in select locations of Bengaluru.

The service is accessible by either visiting mypetrolpump.com, or by calling the number - 7880504050. Mobile apps for both Android and iOS are under development and should go live soon. Customers can place an order of minimum 20 litres. MyPetrolPump’s dedicated lorries will then deliver the fuel at their locations during their preferred time slots. The firm says that they source fuel from authorized oil companies only after receiving the order. Payment can be made through either cash or card.

As you’d expect, there is a price to pay for this convenience. Upto a 100 litres, MyPetrolPump will charge you Rs. 99 for delivery, and orders above 100 litres will be charged Rs. 1 per litre extra over the standard price of the fuel.

A major caveat with MyPetrolPump is that, currently, its service is only limited to diesel. Their official website has no mention of petrol at the moment, and neither does it notify about the tentative availability of the same.

However, it’s great to see such a concept come into fruition. It makes for a good option for those who turn impatient at crowded fuel stations. The service is at a nascent stage currently, but we do hope it expands to rest of the country soon.
