Compared to April 2025, HMSI’s total sales also dropped by 3.28%. Domestic sales were down by 1.34%, and exports fell sharply by 17.43%.

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India sold 4.65 lakh units in May 2025, which is a 5.55% drop compared to 4.92 lakh units in May 2024. This means a volume decline of 27,332 units. Domestic sales fell by 7.40%, down to 4.17 lakh units from 4.50 lakh units last year. However, exports improved by 14.34%, reaching 47,859 units. Compared to April 2025, total sales also dropped by 3.28%. Domestic sales were down by 1.34%, and exports fell sharply by 17.43%, leading to a loss of 15,781 units overall.
Between April and May 2025, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India recorded a total of 9.46 lakh units sold, registering an 8.54% drop compared to 10.34 lakh units during the same period in 2024. This equals a volume loss of 88,382 units.

Domestic sales declined noticeably by 9.82%, falling from 9.32 lakh units to 8.40 lakh units. However, exports showed a slight improvement, rising 2.98% to 1.06 lakh units from 1.03 lakh units sold last year.
Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) launched the Rebel 500 cruiser in India last month at Rs 5.12 lakh (ex-showroom). Interested buyers can book the motorcycle through select BigWing Topline stores in Gurugram, Mumbai, and Bengaluru, however, deliveries are slated for June 2025. The Rebel 500 comes in a single Standard trim with a striking Matt Gunpowder Black Metallic paint. It boasts classic cruiser features like broad handlebars, a round LED headlamp, and a sculpted fuel tank, paired with a low seat and a compact tail.
The Rebel 500 has a 471cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine with an 8-valve, 4-stroke configuration that produces 45.5bhp of maximum power at 8,500rpm and 43.3Nm of peak torque at 6,000rpm, and is mated to a 6-speed transmission. It features a tubular steel frame, suspended by telescopic forks at the front and Showa twin shock absorbers at the rear.

The bike uses a 296mm front disc brake and a 240mm rear disc, both equipped with dual-channel ABS, for braking.
