Hyundai I20 Side View

Some Hyundai dealerships in India are offering considerable offers on the i20. A cash discount of Rs 10,000 and an exchange bonus of Rs 10,000 are available on the car for July. In our market, the price for the SUV begins at Rs 7.19 lakh (ex-showroom). For those unaware, the vehicle underwent an engine update in April of this year to meet the RDE and BS6 Phase 2 emission standards and also lost out on the diesel unit as a result of this modification. Now, the carmaker is preparing to launch the revised i20 in India soon, and a test mule of it confirmed the speculation. The automaker has already introduced the updated model in Europe, and now India will receive the same shortly. According to the earlier spy images, the car will feature a range of cosmetic tweaks. Let's know about such modifications on the upcoming i20 in detail.

Hyundai i20 Facelift: Expected Changes

Considering the previous spy shots, the updated model will sport maximum changes to the front and rear ends. There will likely be new headlights, a headlight cluster, and sharper air dams on the model. At the back, the car may get a new bumper, skid plate, and taillights. In line with the international-spec model, the i20 facelift is anticipated to feature new dual-tone alloy wheels with a star motif. Although there were no spy shots of the interior, it is expected that the upcoming facelift model could feature a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which comes with the EU-spec i20.

Hyundai i20 Facelift: New Powertrain?

Hyundai has not revealed anything regarding the specs yet, however, market reports claim that the automaker will not touch the engine as far as changes are concerned. It will continue offering the model with the same 1.2-litre petrol engine, producing 82bhp and 115Nm, and the 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbo-petrol engine, delivering 118bhp and 172Nm.
