Hyundai India Hits 6.75 Lakh Connected Cars Sales Milestone

The contribution of connected cars to Hyundai's retail sales has grown from 4.7% in 2019 to a notable 25.7% in 2024. Currently, connected car technology is available in 12 out of Hyundai’s 14 models, including the Creta.

Hyundai has sold more than 6.75 lakh cars featuring its cutting-edge Bluelink technology, which was first introduced with the Venue in 2019. The contribution of connected cars to Hyundai's retail sales has grown from 4.7% in 2019 to a notable 25.7% in 2024, reflecting a clear shift in consumer preference. Currently, connected car technology is available in 12 out of Hyundai’s 14 models, including popular ones like the i20, Creta, and Ioniq 5. Bluelink initially offered 25 telematics features focused on performance, convenience, safety, and security. In 2024, the technology evolved further, with the introduction of a new digital key feature in the Hyundai Alcazar.

Commenting on Hyundai’s Connected Car technology, Mr. Jae Wan Ryu, Function Head - Corporate Planning, HMIL said, 'Hyundai Motor India Limited was the first OEM to introduce embedded connected car technology in India called Bluelink. HMIL is committed to India and every benchmark technology we introduce is aimed at improving the ownership experience of our customers. Bluelink has significantly uplifted user and ownership experience, transforming cars into lifestyle products, garnering appreciation of customers from across the country. In 2025, Hyundai further introduced the In-car Payment platform, which is an evolutionary technology that transforms the vehicle into a seamless payment platform, enhancing convenience and efficiency for customers.’

He added ‘Today, connected cars drive a significant part of Hyundai’s overall sales in India, surpassing half a million sales milestone. With the ever-increasing number of tech-savvy, convenience seeking, and young car buyers, I am confident that the demand for connected car tech will rise rapidly in the coming years.’

Hyundai Bluelink: Key Highlights

Hyundai offers connected car technology through Bluelink, an advanced platform designed to seamlessly connect vehicles with users' mobile devices. Powered by AI and equipped with an inbuilt SIM, Bluelink enhances safety, convenience, and security for drivers. It offers features like remote services, real-time vehicle tracking, and fuel efficiency insights. The app also helps users find nearby Hyundai service centres, fuel stations, and restaurants with easy navigation.

Hyundai Bluelink comes with a free 3-year package with safety features like SOS, collision alerts, Roadside Assistance, and emergency. It also lets drivers track vehicle performance with health reports, notifications, maintenance alerts, and trip history.

Bluelink prioritises security with features like vehicle immobilization, stolen vehicle notifications, geo-fencing, valet, and high-speed alerts.
