Isuzu Motors opens new dealership in Kolkata

Commercial vehicles manufacturer Isuzu Motors has inaugurated a new showroom in Kolkata, its 21st in India as it tries to expand its reach in the market.

The Japanese manufacturer recently expanded its pick-up truck portfolio with the addition of D-Max Cab-Chassis and the air conditioned variant of D-Max Single Cab Flat Deck.

Speaking at the inauguration, Shigeru Wakabayashi, Deputy Managing Director, Isuzu Motors India, said, "We are extremely happy to be here in Kolkata, as we are progressing rapidly in terms of our network expansion.”

“With our presence in Kolkata, we will provide customers in the east unique advantages of our product portfolio that will help them invigorate their businesses. We are happy to be partnering with "Mohanmotor Isuzu", as they are well known for their customer-oriented approach."

Isuzu Motors’ manufacturing facility in Chennai is set to commence production in 2016, with initial production capacity of 60,000 units per year. The company will later scale up the capacity to 1,20,000 units per year with accumulated investment of 3,000 crores.
