Jeep has introduced enticing discounts throughout its whole lineup to make the end of the year more enjoyable for potential customers in India. Buyers can avail offers of up to Rs 11.85 lakh on the Grand Cherokee, the Compass, and the Meridian SUVs till December 31, 2023. These deals are in the form of exchange incentives, cash discounts, corporate perks, and exclusive offers. In our market, the flagship Jeep Grand Cherokee SUV is available with a price tag of Rs 80.50, while the Meridian retails for Rs 33.40 lakh (starting price). In contrast, the introductory price of the regular Jeep Compass is Rs. 20.49 lakh. In a recent development, Jeep recalled around 32,000 Wrangler 4xe vehicles in the United States (2021-2024) due to a potential fire hazard. The recall was ordered following an internal investigation from Stellantis, Jeep's parent company, which found roughly eight car fire occurrences that resulted in the recall of 32,125 US models. This month, the flagship Jeep Grand Cherokee is available at a maximum discount of Rs 11.85 lakh. The Volvo XC90 competitor is offered in four monotone paint schemes: Bright White, Diamond Black Crystal, Rocky Mountain, and Velvet Red, as well as with four drive modes: Sand/Mud, Snow, Auto, and Sport.
The Meridian SUV has offers of up to Rs 4.85 lakh in December. It comprises exchange bonuses of up to Rs. 25,000, corporate discounts of up to Rs 30,000, special offers worth up to Rs 30,000, and cash savings of up to Rs 4 lakh. It's interesting to note that the majority of the deals are exclusive to the new Meridian Overland Edition.

Jeep Grand Cherokee, Meridian, and Compass: Mechanical Specifics
A 2-litre turbo-petrol engine with 400Nm of torque and 268bhp powers the Grand Cherokee. It is paired with an 8-speed automated transmission. In contrast, the Jeep Meridian has a 2-litre turbo-diesel engine that produces 350Nm and 168bhp of power. For transmission, it gets a 6-speed manual gearbox and a 9-speed automatic as options. Only the highest-end automatic variant comes with a 4-wheel drivetrain (4WD).

The Compass SUV, on the other hand, houses a 2.0-litre diesel engine, which is tuned to produce 168bhp and 250Nm of performance numbers. Its gearbox choices include a six-speed manual gearbox as well as a nine-speed torque converter. The 4x4 system is also included as standard on the automated versions.
