For April 2023, Mahindra has disclosed its sales data for both its passenger and commercial vehicle segments. On all counts, there has been growth. From 22,526 units sold in April 2022 to 34,698 units sold in April 2023, passenger vehicle sales increased by 54 per cent YoY. Sales for the entire portfolio totalled 62,294 units, representing a 36 per cent year-over-year (YoY) increase. Mahindra continued to experience difficulties with the supply of semiconductors, just like every other automobile manufacturer in India. Even though this shortage is not as bad as it was in the previous two years, it has still had a negative impact on production, which has increased the wait times for some models. The Scorpio N and the XUV700 have experienced the longest waiting periods.

Mahindra Bolero Surpassed One Lakh Unit Sales Milestone in FY 2023

Mahindra & Mahindra, one of the top automakers in the country, revealed that the Bolero, a well-known SUV, has sold more than one million units, which is a significant milestone for the vehicle. Since the SUV was introduced in 2000, the company has sold more than 14 lakh of them in India. Despite its age, the Mahindra Bolero has consistently been one of the best-selling SUVs and is still a popular choice. Its tough build, all-metal body, and go-anywhere appeal have contributed to its popularity, especially in semi-urban and rural areas of India where it is highly favoured. Because of its simple engineering, it is easy to maintain and has widely available, affordable spare parts. Mahindra has a larger customer base because it also offers a range of body styles, including the standard 7-seater, the under 4-metre variant, and the adaptable Maxi truck in pick-up truck style.
